1929 Panorama

A Riverside View of Georgian London

Our Riverside View of Georgian London is based on an original, 200 year old, hand coloured, tourist guide published in 1829 by London bookseller Samuel Leigh. This little known work (above) is now rare. The engraving shows both banks of the River Thames between Westminster and Richmond upon Thames, a distance of 15 miles.

We have digitally restored this beautiful, forgotten treasure and added new descriptions and history for almost all of the buildings, written as it would have been at the time.

Restored Panorama

Our spectacular new version is a modern book called "Panorama of the Thames - A Riverside View of Georgian London" which unfortunately this has been out of print for a few years. So almost all new copies now on sale elsewhere are unlikely to be genuine. Unsigned copies are available on Amazon for prices varying between $2470.00 and £109.06 per book.

HOW TO BUY

Fortunately we retained a some genuine copies of the first edition of this book principally for sale to residents along the river and to collectors. So you can still purchase signed first edition copies of the book directly from us by sending an email to info@panoramaofthethames.com and requesting our current price . It makes an excellent present especially for book collectors and people interested in the history of the Thames.
